Calgary Is Smoke Free in 2007

In an effort to help young people reduce In an effort to help young people reduce tobacco product use, Calgary Health Region, through funding from Health Canada, Smoke-Free Calgary and Alberta Cancer Foundation, has launched a mass media campaign to reduce tobacco use among 18-to-24-year-olds.

The objective of this campaign is to raise awareness within four specific groups, including Aboriginal young adults, (post secondary) students, trades workers, and young adults who will be affected by the new Smoke-Free Bylaw. The campaign was developed in partnership with the Calgary Health Region, Alberta Cancer Board, Health Canada, the Canadian Cancer Society, AADAC, Mount Royal College and Smoke-Free U of C.
